7:30 pm, August 2, 2022

New York Attorney General Letitia James addressed the victims of cryptocurrency fraud and urged them to cooperate with the Investor Protection Bureau. Thus, the Attorney General’s Office plans to communicate with all New Yorkers affected by cryptocurrency fraud.

In addition to investors who have lost their savings, the Attorney General’s Office urged employees of cryptocurrency companies to file complaints against their employers if they are engaged in illegal activities or their behavior towards employees is unlawful.

«The recent turbulence and significant losses in the cryptocurrency market are worrying. Investors are promised high returns on cryptocurrency investments, but instead they often lose their hard-earned money,» said Letitia James.

It is worth emphasizing that the economic situation in the United States also affects the state of affairs on the crypto market. On July 13, after the publication of data on the US economy, bitcoin dropped by 5% in a matter of minutes. In addition to BTC, altcoins also fell, including ETH, which risked falling below $ 1,000 for the first time since June 30. At the time of writing, BTC is trading at $ 22,783 and ETH at $ 1,577.
