Samsung to develop NFT token ecosystem

The global technology giant Samsung has signed a cooperation agreement with Theta Labs, a development company, to create an NFT ecosystem.

As it became known, the new NFT ecosystem will be called Galaxy NFT and will be fully focused on the interaction with non-fungible tokens and virtual worlds. According to Samsung representatives, the company aims to combine the benefits of Samsung’s real-life technology with virtual technologies.

Apparently, Galaxy NFT will cooperate with Samsung’s virtual space Space Tycoon in the Roblox metaverse. The launch of Space Tycoon was announced in early July. In the new virtual space, users will be able to learn more about the company’s history, product development stages, and will have the opportunity to work on the creation of new Samsung equipment.

The NFT ecosystem and its own virtual space are not the only integrations of Samsung into the Web-3 space. In early June, Samsung launched its Discord server for users. All participants who joined Discord within 24 hours received an exclusive OG role. According to the developers, OG roles guarantee many benefits to their owners in the future, including access to the Samsung metaverse (possibly even to the new Space Tycoon virtual space), free NFTs, and retrodrops (distribution of new project tokens for previously used ones).
