The United States has begun to study the possibilities of blockchain and cryptography for military purposes

8:45 am, September 24, 2022

The US defense research agency DARPA has asked the analytical company Inca Digital to develop a new cryptographic tool to study the impact of cryptocurrencies on US national security.

A contract will be signed with the organization, according to which Inca Digital will provide data on the use of blockchain technology in illegal operations. The research should also systematize the impact of digital assets on the American financial system.

Adam Zarinsky, CEO of Inca Digital, said: «The digital asset segment has amazing prospects. However, we cannot ignore the facts of manipulation of the cryptocurrency market and the activities of criminals that could pose a direct threat to US national security, the expert emphasized.

This is not the first sign of the US government’s interest in cryptocurrencies, as the IRS has previously introduced new reporting rules. As we can see, the regulatory authorities of the US government are doubly enthusiastic about controlling the cryptocurrency market. Last week, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the creation of the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team. The agency will also facilitate the investigation of digital finance crimes.

Earlier, artificial intelligence was called one of the reasons why Ukraine can win the war.
