The US bans the cryptocurrency dollar due to the fear of global control over the blockchain home

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has legislated a ban on the issuance and use of central bank digital currency (CBDC) in Florida, which is expected to be implemented by the Federal Reserve this summer. DeSantis is a well-known cryptocurrency supporter who has long resisted the creation of a digital dollar. He is convinced that the central bank’s new currency is yet another mechanism for controlling and monitoring Americans, and one that has serious drawbacks. According to DeSantis, the US government prefers CBDC to digital assets such as cryptocurrencies because it does not have sufficiently stable means of controlling them.

The bill was proposed in late March. In an accompanying statement, DeSantis argued that he wanted to protect consumers and businesses in the state from «recklessly implementing» a new centralized currency that could stifle innovation. In addition, the digital dollar has other significant risks, such as the diminishing role of local banks and small credit organizations. In addition, issuers of the new currency may be able to find loopholes to abuse the technology. The bill includes security measures to protect the state from external pressure to introduce CBDC.

the 46th governor of Florida also recommended that governments of other US states consider adopting laws prohibiting the digital dollar in their territories. DeSantis, who is a member of the US Republican Party, has high ratings, which gives him a good chance of running for president in the future.
