Ukraine is among the countries with the highest level of cryptocurrency adoption
Chainalysis analysts have ranked Ukraine fifth in the crypto adoption ranking in 2023. Our country has beaten Brazil, China, Turkey, and the Russian occupiers.
India, Nigeria, Vietnam, and the United States are higher in the top. At the same time, Ukraine ranks third in terms of the quality of centralized services.
The worst performance is in the DeFi segment, and there are also problems with trading volumes on P2P exchanges:
The top 10 includes the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, and Thailand. It is noteworthy that the Thai prime minister is a supporter of cryptocurrencies. Interestingly, the politician promised to give $ 300 to all residents of the country.
China and Russian terrorists occupy the 11th and 13th positions, respectively. The lowest level of acceptance of digital assets is recorded in Japan, Canada, and Morocco. It is worth noting that this year Canada has significantly tightened its regulation of the crypto market.
Chainalysis noted that the regions of Central, South Asia, and Oceania remain the most friendly to the crypto sphere. At the same time, experts noted that the factors behind this are different in each case.
In general, the level of acceptance of the industry in the world is declining. It peaked in the second quarter of 2021, came close to it at the end of the year, and then mostly fell:
Countries with lower than average incomes (LMI) remain the leaders in the ranking. These include Nigeria, India, and Ukraine. There is only one country with high incomes (HI) in the top ten — the United States.
It is the LMI countries that will see the most significant recovery in the adoption of virtual coins in 2023:
The platform’s experts see this as a positive sign. A further increase in industry adoption among these countries may give rise to a corresponding trend at the global level.
Mastercard has recently announced that Ukraine is among the top 5 countries in the world in terms of contactless payments using gadgets. It was joined by Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the United States.
