Ukraine is among the top 3 countries most interested in virtual reality

Vietnam, the Philippines, and Ukraine have topped the list of countries that approve of the metaverse concept, according to a report by CoinKickoff. Analysts have summarized 1.6 million tweets on the topic and compiled a rating of countries favoring virtual reality. They also noted those who do not like the concept.

In 56.8% of messages, Vietnamese users spoke positively about virtual platforms. In the Philippines, this figure reaches 56.2%, and in Ukraine — 54.9%.

Filipinos are the most likely to search for metaverse-related terms on Google — experts counted 2,421 searches per 1,000 people. Ukrainian users have 252 search queries per 1000 unique users. Among the Americans, residents of the state of Florida show the greatest interest in the topic — 670 searches per 1000 people.

The CoinKickoff survey showed that the optimism of the US West Coast outweighs the negative sentiment of the East Coast. Only 7% of respondents are worried about the prospects of metaverse, while 58% declared their indifference to virtual worlds. In contrast, the study found favorable Twitter responses to the concept of metaverse in all 50 states.

Instead, Ireland topped the anti-rating, with 14.4% of tweets from its citizens criticizing metaverse. Denmark, New Zealand, and Canada also demonstrate a biased attitude towards virtual reality.

The analysts summarized: «Global interest in metaverse is constantly growing. The phenomenon is closely related to the emergence of cryptocurrencies, and both areas will be highly dependent on each other. This is because these concepts — both virtual worlds and virtual assets — continue to evolve.»
