Ukrainian anti-war NFT collection became the most popular on OpenSea
Ukraine-NoWarNoWar, a collection of non-fungible tokens, has hit the daily top sales on OpenSea, depicting a world after a nuclear war.
«Ukraine-NoWarNoWar» was launched on OpenSea 2 days ago, and since then, the total sales amount has already reached 297 ETH (over $ 300,000). The collection consists of 1000 NFTs depicting desert landscapes of the Earth destroyed by nuclear bombs. At the time of writing, the minimum price of the token is 0.1 ETH ($ 123).
On Monday, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said that the global nuclear arsenal will grow in the coming years for the first time since the Cold War, and the risk of using such weapons is the highest in decades.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the killing of thousands of Ukrainians and the destruction of many Ukrainian cities is turning into a global fear of the destruction of the entire planet by nuclear warheads. The authors of the «Ukraine-NoWarNoWar» collection want to draw the public’s attention to this threat and call for an end to the war for the sake of peace.
