Ukrainian cyber police to search for cryptocurrency fraudsters with the help of hackers
According to the information published on the official website of the Ukrainian cyber police, representatives of the agency have started cooperation with the platform of anonymous hacker Don Mara HAPI Labs. The goal of the partnership is to identify crypto wallets associated with terrorist and sanctioned activities.
As part of the initiative, called Scamfari, users are encouraged to report cryptocurrency projects and wallets associated with fraud, sanctions violations, terrorist financing, and other crimes. Scamfari will pay a reward for each report of detected criminals.
How to contact Scamfari representatives?
- Collect data about the cryptocurrency wallet or project.
- Go to the Telegram bot and create an account.
- Report suspicious activities in the appropriate category, attaching evidence.
- Receive a reward for the submitted report after verification.
HAPI Labs and cyberpolice employees manually check the received fraud data. If the information is confirmed, people receive rewards in the project’s native tokens. In the future, the distribution of rewards is planned to be automated using smart contracts.
Last week, the cyber police of Ukraine managed to detect and eliminate a hostile bot farm that was spreading fake news on social media. The fake posts and comments on social media were published allegedly from ordinary Ukrainian citizens. The bot farm had at least 2,000 fake accounts. For each bot created, the offender received payment in rubles.
