Ukrainian developers launch first national NFT collection with cats-heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian developers from the UACatsDivision team, together with the United24 fundraising platform and Incrypted, have launched the first national NFT collection featuring cats-heroes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The collection consists of 10,000 different cats that symbolize the defenders of Ukraine.
All NFT cats are unique and generated with more than 100 different emotions, clothes, and weapons. According to the authors of the project, the collection has a specific goal: to raise 40,000,000 UAH to buy 4 naval combat drones for the Ukrainian armed forces. Anyone can buy NFTs as a symbol of unity and involvement in a common cause — Ukraine’s victory.
«UACatsDivision is an NFT collection of 10,000 unique combat cats from different branches of the military on the Ethereum blockchain. A cat from the Special Forces, a cat from the Marines, a cat from the Air Force, a cat from the Police, etc. Anyone who is defending our freedom today will find themselves among the furry heroes,» the official UACatsDivision website says.
At the time of writing, users have purchased 764 non-fungible tokens out of 10,000 available. Accordingly, UAH 2,793,841 out of the required UAH 40,000,000 has already been raised. «Our mission is to highlight the heroism of our people in the fight for freedom and independence of Ukraine. We want to present the cats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the form of an NFT collection that will forever remain a symbol of the unconquerability and indestructibility of the Ukrainian people,» said Dmytro Kuriksha, co-founder of UACatsDivision.
We recently told you about the NFT collection dedicated to the dog Patron. The collection was divided into three parts: international, Ukrainian, and professional. 50% of the funds raised from the sale will be used for charitable purposes in the Bucha district of Kyiv region. The main ones include equipment for schools, housing reconstruction, and joint projects with partner foundations.
