US scientists investigate anomalous celestial phenomenon classified as a UFO

on April 27, 2025, a mysterious object was spotted in the sky above the town of Twentynine Palms in California, which was observed for about 15 minutes. The event was witnessed by a local resident who passed the data to scientists. He filmed a video of a brightly lit hexagonal object moving slowly and unevenly across the sky.

The eyewitness described that the object behaved as if it were disoriented, changing speed and direction without clear logic. According to him, the object «pulsed with light around the edges and at some point transformed from a hexagonal shape to a round one.» The witness noted that «it was much brighter than a full moon, although it was a full moon at the time of the observation, so it is impossible that it was a lunar disk.»

In a report to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), the witness noted that he was not under the influence of any substances during the sighting and had clear vision. His video was the only evidence, as he was alone and there were no other witnesses.

Representatives of NUFORC suggested that the phenomenon could have been related to the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, but the launch took place three hours before the event and from Florida, not California. A similar light phenomenon in March over the United Kingdom was caused by the remnants of frozen fuel glowing in the upper atmosphere.

The incident occurred a few days before a US Congressional hearing on UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), which included former NASA, Pentagon and Navy officials. They called on the government to declassify the available information and increase funding for research into such phenomena, emphasizing that the United States still does not have a single government channel for reporting such cases.
