Users of the MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet will be able to convert Ethereum into dollars and euros

Cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask has introduced a new feature that allows you to sell Ethereum for cash.

The new update to MetaMask Portfolio has introduced a selling option that allows users to convert cryptocurrency into US dollars, euros, and pounds sterling. According to the team, the update is designed to provide a new experience with Web3 by reducing the number of intermediaries.

MetaMask clarified that the new payment feature works with Ethereum tokens on the main network. However, over time, it will start supporting other cryptocurrencies as well as second-tier networks.

Users can cash out Ethereum and send money to bank accounts in the US, UK, and some European countries. In general, MetaMask plans to expand this service to more regions.

We would like to remind you that recently there were rumors that MetaMask wallet will have its own cryptocurrency. However, the crypto community was suspicious of the news, given that it had previously encountered various rumors on this topic. Thus, on March 31, 2023, unconfirmed information about the planned MetaMask airdrop appeared. Soon after, the project team denied this information on its official Twitter page, claiming that it was fraudsters.
