Imprisoned BTC-e founder to be assisted by Russian «death salesman»

5:27 pm, December 14, 2022

Russian criminal arms dealer Viktor Booth has announced his plans to rescue another Russian criminal, Alexander Vinnik, who was accused of laundering $ 9 billion through the cryptocurrency exchange BTC-e. The crypto fraudster is currently in a US prison, where he faces up to 55 years in prison.

It is not yet known how the so-called «death salesman» Booth will help Vinnik, as the latter has only recently returned from the US prison. «The situation around the Russian IT specialist Alexander Vinnik, who was unjustly detained in Greece, is not easy. Let’s remember and think about his return ,» said Booth, a citizen of the terrorist country.

Members of the cryptocurrency community and defrauded BTC-e investors hope that Vinnik will be held accountable for his actions under US law and will serve his sentence in full. This is the future that awaits all Russian criminals.

As a reminder, Vinnik was arrested in 2017 in Greece on charges of money laundering and running the BTC-e cryptocurrency exchange. In early 2020, the Russian was extradited from Greece to France, where he was sentenced to five years in prison. Later, Vinnik was sent back to Greece and extradited to the United States in early August. Vinnik is currently in a US prison, facing 55 years behind bars. However, the Russian continues to deny all charges against him.
