ATMs in America integrate the ability to buy cryptocurrencies

The American division of South Korean fiat ATM manufacturer Hyosang has announced the addition of cryptocurrency purchasing services to its upcoming ATM app store, all thanks to a partnership with cryptocurrency payment provider DigitalMint.

According to representatives of Hyosung America, every ATM operator will be able to download the application from DigitalMint, «giving users access to new sources of revenue.» The application’s software interface integrates the ability to purchase digital assets into POS terminals and ATMs. Currently, users can buy only 2 cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin or Litecoin.

As a reminder, 88% of all cryptomachines on the planet are located in the United States, while only 4% are in Europe. In 2022, the number of cryptocurrency ATMs decreased by 90%. However, as we reported earlier, June 2022 stopped this anti-trend — in the first 5 days of June, 817 bitcoin ATMs were installed, which is many times higher than in previous months.
