The Ministry of Digital Transformation says it plans to launch cryptocurrency hryvnia by 2030
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, spoke at a conference in Switzerland on Ukraine’s post-war recovery. He shared the ministry’s achievements before and during the war, and presented the Digital for Freedom program, which is to form the basis of the country’s post-war digitalization.
According to the ministry’s plans, in 2030 Ukraine will launch its own state cryptocurrency (most likely CBDC). At the same time, Fedorov plans to significantly reduce the circulation of conventional paper money by that time.
Among other things, the Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to fully transfer public services to Diia, digitalize the elderly, use artificial intelligence in courts (such programs are already being implemented in China), digitalize customs, and much more.
