Ukraine develops NFT tokens to restore football fields
Football club Kryvbas has released the NFT collection NFT FC KRYVBAS based on Polygon. The club announced this on its official website. According to the description of the initiative, the proceeds from the token sale will be used for «a social children’s football program and the renovation of destroyed football fields in Ukraine.» However, it is not specified what percentage of the sales will be used for the restoration.
The collection’s tokens are available on the Stickito trading platform. At the start, four non-interchangeable tokens with the image of FC Kryvbas players worth € 3 are offered, as well as an extra-limited edition of NFTs with the image of the club’s head coach Yuriy Vernydub worth € 10,000.
In the future, four new digital tokens with images of the football club’s players will be issued on a weekly basis. In total, it is planned to issue sixty rare, twenty-five basic, twenty-four limited, nine legendary, and one unique NFT.
At the same time, it is impossible to buy NFTs with cryptocurrency. To buy tokens, the platform accepts only PayPal payments. It is unclear why they do not accept payments in altcoins such as ether (ETH) or polygon (MATIC).
