The UK will become a new cryptocurrency center — all thanks to Liz Truss
UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Richard Fuller has promised to make the country a new cryptocurrency center, and Fuller is convinced that the new British Prime Minister will help with this.
According to Richard Fuller, the British government is committed to helping cryptocurrency investors and developers who will develop the crypto space and introduce innovative technologies. «By making the UK a welcoming place for cryptocurrency technologies, we will be able to attract investment, create new jobs, benefit from tax revenues, and create innovative products and services,» the Minister of Economy said in his speech.
Richard Fuller is also convinced that the new British Prime Minister Liz Truss will contribute to the development of the cryptocurrency industry, as in 2018, Truss supported digital assets. Thus, Truss’s election campaign was built on a plan for the country’s economic growth and «getting Britain back on track» after its withdrawal from the European Union. And in 2020, when the Brexit procedure was completed, Truss, who was then the Minister of Commerce, said that the country could «create great opportunities in the blockchain field.»
However, at the moment, Truss does not speak much about cryptocurrencies and blockchain. So far, she has not made any policy statements about digital assets. Therefore, it is unclear whether Truss will support the ambitions of the Minister of Economy Richard Fuller to turn the UK into a cryptocurrency center, but Fuller has no doubt about it.
