Wedding ceremonies started to be held on the Moon using virtual reality technology

10:36 am, June 13, 2022

German footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng and his fiancĂ©e Valentina Fradegrad got married on the moon. The wedding organizer Enzo Michio announced this on Instagram: «The newlyweds' request was to get married in a place where no one had ever done it before. Collaboration with OVER allowed us to hold the ceremony on the Moon, created only from 3D technologies.»

The couple’s wedding ceremony was organized in the OVER metaverse. Fans could attend the ceremony by purchasing invitations (limited NFT tokens) on OpenSea for $ 50. The newlyweds donated the proceeds to charity.

According to Vanity Fair journalists, the real wedding took place simultaneously with the ceremony on the moon. The venue in the metaverse was designed and built specifically for the Boateng and Fradegrada couple. They became the first celebrity couple to get married in virtual reality.
