A well-known analyst said that only bitcoin has prospects of «surviving» in the cryptocurrency market

Peter Brandt, a popular analyst in the crypto community who managed to correctly predict the crypto winter of 2018, has «buried» all tokens except bitcoin. He shared his opinion on the future of cryptocurrencies with his Twitter followers.

«Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that will manage to finish this marathon. Therest of [криптовалюти], including Ethereum, are fakes or scum,» Peter Brandt wrote.

Many members of the crypto community were confused by the fact that the analyst put the second largest cryptocurrency in terms of capitalization on a par with fraudulent projects. In response to a request from his followers to explain his assessment of ETH, Brandt wrote: «Silver is to ETH what gold is to BTC. ETH will probably survive, but the real legacy is BTC.»

Brandt shared his opinion against the backdrop of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) «hunt» for illegally issued securities in the form of cryptocurrencies. More than 60 coins have already been blacklisted by the regulator. At the same time, experts believe that the list of problematic cryptocurrencies will grow.

Earlier, Peter Brandt gave a long-term forecast for bitcoin. In October 2022, the analyst said that cryptocurrency would become the «main means of saving» in the next 10 years. And bitcoin will cease to depend on other markets: «In the end, bitcoin will only correlate with bitcoin» and will reach impressive performance, but Brandt did not specify what kind of performance.
