A well-known cryptocurrency blogger stole more than $ 100,000 in cryptocurrency from his followers
The anonymous Twitter whistleblower FatManTerra, known for his exposés on Do Kwonand the recent accusation of BitBoy Crypto, a YouTube blogger, of manipulating cryptocurrencies, has taught his own followers a lesson this time around — FatManTerra shared a fake investment scheme with users and stole $ 100,000 from them.
FatManTerra shared his own methods of educating members of the cryptocurrency community on his Twitter page, urging users to be more cautious and analyze information. As it became known, an anonymous informant published a fictitious investment scheme that was supposed to bring investors unprecedented profits. Some of FatManTerra’s subscribers believed in the fake scheme — in less than 2 hours, users invested $ 100,000 in a non-existent cryptocurrency.
Inspired by Lady of Crypto, a while ago I pitched my own investment scheme to Twitter…
In two hours, I received over one hundred DMs. I raised 3.45 BTC from Twitter and 2 BTC from Discord — over $ 100k, with more requests flooding in by the minute.
But there's a little twist.

Later, FatManTerra returned all funds to investors, emphasizing that they should be more careful and not invest their own savings in any investment scheme published by a famous person. Obviously, if the confidential informant had turned out to be a fraudster who had gained the trust of users, his followers would have lost at least $ 100,000.
«In the crypto community, there are no free launches of new projects, if you don’t understand where the profit comes from, you are the source of profit,» FatManTerra said.
In early July, FatManTerra told how his friend decided to buy the fraudulent DOCK cryptocurrency without even being a member of the DOCK team. The unnamed friend bought an ad from YouTube vlogger BitBoy for $ 30,000, and in his video, the vlogger said it was an ad integration only at the end, so most viewers did not notice the fact that it was an ad integration and therefore perceived the ad as a full and unbiased analysis. According to FatMan, his friend’s ability to meme DOCK proved that crypto investors should not trust influencers and any influential personalities.
