A well-known cryptocurrency fraudster became popular thanks to a scandalous video on TikTok

A well-known cryptocurrency blogger, Newman Perez, confronted a man in a Colombian shopping mall who accused him of stealing money. The confrontation posted on TikTok quickly went viral.

Newman Perez is originally from Venezuela. After the country’s authorities put him on the wanted list, the odious crypto blogger moved to Colombia. According to local media, he is charged with «aggravated fraud, threats to public officials, counterfeiting, and physical violence.» Interestingly, Perez has become a real influencer — the number of his Instagram followers exceeds 668,000.

Perez has founded several projects. The most famous of them is Apreciodepana.com. According to the blogger, the project was supported by Google Ventures, although the tech giant itself has not officially confirmed this.

The crypto blogger also founded MacStore Venezuela, DivisasToGo, and launched several courses in trading and finance. The most questionable activity of Perez was the illegal rental of Zelle payment system accounts, which led to the blocking of his Twitter account.

Earlier, we reported that the largest crypto fraudster in history, Ruja Ignatova, was probably killed back in 2018. The information that the crypto queen is dead is confirmed by documents collected by law enforcement agencies during another investigation.
