Virtual platform The Sandbox to develop Playboy house

American Playboy magazine has started cooperation with The Sandbox platform: they plan to develop a virtual Playboy house that will host themed parties and launch another NFT collection.

According to The Sandbox representatives on Twitter, together with the Playboy brand, the company will launch MetaMansion virtual reality based on the Playboy Rabbitars NFT project developed in 2021. Both the collection and MetaMansion will focus on the «famous Playboy rabbits». By the way, it is the holders of these non-fungible tokens who will be the first to get access to events in the «exclusive» house.

«Playboy is a well-known brand for its charm, style, and entertaining content that passes from generation to generation and has already achieved success on Web3,» said Sebastian Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox. At the time of writing, the minimum price of Rabbitar NFTs on OpenSea is 0.19 ETH (about $ 206), although at launch in October 2021, NFTs cost about $ 800.

As a reminder, The Sandbox platform is popular among large companies and developers. At the end of June, The Sandbox announced a collaboration with the American edition of TIME: the partners plan to build a copy of Times Square in the metaverse.
Earlier it became known that the developers of the virtual hotel chain Secret Island Club are planning to buy land from The Sandbox. Secret Island Club hotels will have themed floors for «knowledge sharing», conference rooms, and lobbies for relaxation. Everyone will have the opportunity to rent a room and find business partners for new NFT projects in the hotel.
