Vitalik Buterin agrees to pay $ 8 for a tick of Twitter verification
The co-founder of Ethereum said that he agrees with the terms of the new Twitter CEO — Vitalik Buterin, like all other owners of verified accounts, will pay $ 8 per month. However, there is one condition: the father of ETN will do this after the verification fee becomes available for operating systems other than iOS.

I'm eagerly trying out Mastodon, Farcaster, Lens and others, and I'll bow to Lord Elon and pay his $ 8/month too… but only when it's available on a non-iOS platform.

Buterin said he also uses other social networks to find alternatives to Twitter. The ETN developer has already registered with Telegram, Reddit, Farcaster, and Mastodon. The latter is a decentralized, open-source social network that is not owned by any individual or company. Mastodon is a non-profit organization with software that can be used to create social networks. They are run on different servers (there are over 3000) by administrators who can set their own rules.
Mastodon currently has over 1.8 million monthly active users — a figure that was 400,000 before Elon Musk acquired Twitter. Mastodon’s popularity is growing because not all users like the changes in Musk’s social network: Blue subscription fee with an account verification checkbox, dismissal of 75% of employees, refusal to launch a crypto wallet, introduction of paid videos, etc.
