According to the developer, artificial intelligence can detect errors hidden in the Ethereum code base. Thus, on March 13, the Dencun update will finally be deployed on the ETH network. The hard fork was implemented on the Goerli testnet back on January 17. However, a bug occurred during the update that prevented the completion of the project. It took several days to fix it.

Probably, this was the reason for the words of the Ethereum co-founder. Dencun is crucial for the long-term roadmap of the blockchain. Some analysts suggest that the hard fork will have a significant impact on the ETH supply.

At the same time, Vitalik has previously warned that super-intelligent AI could destroy humanity. According to him, one should be extremely careful with the new technology.

Earlier, Buterin published an essay on Verkle Trees. The technology is a part of the project’s roadmap, which Buterin shared in 2022. It is a new type of data structure that, according to the programmer, will have a positive impact on both ETH staking and the operation of the entire network.

«I am looking forward to the implementation of Verkle Trees with great interest. The technology will make it possible to create validation clients that do not require state storage. Inturn, it will allow nodes to work with almost zero hard disk space and achieve fast synchronization ,» Buterin said.
