Token stolen by NFT hackers returned for $ 300,000
Seth Green, the star of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, and Godzilla movies, paid $ 300 thousand to get his NFTs from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection back.
According to BuzzFeed News, the actor returned the non-fungible tokens he lost in a phishing attack last month. Back then, hackers managed to steal one «bored monkey,» two «mutant monkeys,» and one token from the Doodles collection. Green reportedly paid 165 ETH (over $ 295,000) for the NFTs after they were sold to a crypto collector.

On Thursday, Green confirmed on his Twitter page that the NFTs are «already home.» Transaction records confirm that the funds were sent from the actor’s wallet to the account of a collector known as «Mr. Cheese» and «DarkWing84,» who was initially threatened with legal action by Seth Green.
Currently, the OpenSea marketplace has left the «suspicious activity» flag active for the non-fungible Bored Ape token #8398 — the NFT is frozen and the token cannot be bought or sold on the market. Greene has repeatedly stated that this particular monkey NFT token is very important to him, because Fred (as the actor named his monkey) is the main character of the NFT series White Horse Tavern. The White Horse Tavern trailer was shown by Green at the NFT conference VeeCon. This comedy show seems to be based on the question: «What if your bartender was an NFT monkey token?».
