Crypto wallet manufacturer Ledger stops supplying products to Russia and Belarus
Hardware cryptocurrency wallet manufacturer Ledger has announced that it has stopped deliveries to Russia and Belarus. Previously, the company sold devices through the Russian representative office of Ledger Russia to the Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces. In this way, the company supported the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, adopted by the European Union earlier this month.
The company was founded in 2014 and develops both software and gadgets for cryptocurrencies, producing hardware wallets for storing digital assets.
Currently, Ledger has more than 2 million active users per day, and about 20% of cryptocurrencies around the world are protected using the company’s technology.
Earlier, many cryptocurrency companies joined the next package of sanctions, including LocalBitcoins, Blockchain.com, Crypto.com, and others.
