Worldcoin cryptocurrency grew by 50% in a month

The price of Worldcoin (WLD) rose by 50% as of the end of January 2026, making it one of the strongest recoveries among the major altcoins. The growth was partly fueled by rumors of a new social platform from OpenAI focused on identity verification, which is in line with the Worldcoin concept. At the same time, the upward movement was laid down even before the news appeared, as it was provoked by technical divergence.

Between December 18 and January 25, the WLD price chart showed a lower low, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) showed a higher one. This indicated an easing of pressure from sellers and signaled a trend reversal. After that, the token rose by almost 50%, exceeding the market average.

Despite the recovery, the price was unable to overcome the 100-day exponential moving average (EMA), which traditionally acts as a resistance level. Its last breakout in the fall of 2025 led to a 115% increase. Currently, the key level remains $ 0.66, a breakout of which could open the way to $ 0.84 or even $ 0.95.

Online data confirms that the announcement of the OpenAI platform has only increased the excitement. At the peak, more than 10.7 million WLD were recorded on the exchange, which indicates active unloading by traders. At the same time, large wallets (10−100 million WLD) started accumulating even before the information surge, while smaller investors joined later.

Further price movement depends on the ability of WLD to gain a foothold above $ 0.66. If this does not happen and the quote falls below $ 0.51 or $ 0.48, a deeper drop to $ 0.43 is possible. Thus, February will be crucial for confirming a reversal or ending the current upward momentum.
