YouTube blogger who advertised fraudulent cryptocurrencies endorses Do Kwon
Ben Armstrong, the owner of the Bitboy Crypto YouTube channel, believes that Terra project founder Do Kwon «isn't such a bad guy.» As Armstrong wrote on Twitter, Kwon was «just unlucky». However, in Armstrong’s opinion, the founder of the LUNA cryptocurrency should be held responsible for the collapse of the Terra ecosystem.
Armstrong compared Terra’s collapse to a car accident that resulted in the death of passengers and for which the driver will definitely be punished. According to the blogger, Kwon is no worse than Alex Machinsky, the founder of cryptocurrency lender Celsius, who declared bankruptcy in July.
I don’t think Do Kwon is a bad guy like Alex Mashinsky. I think he built a project with a tokenomics vulnerability that was always going to be exploited.
But just like when someone causes a car accident that results in a death… he must be held accountable for it on some level.

Last July, BitBoy Crypto urged its viewers to invest in the DOCK cryptocurrency, which turned out to be a fraudulent scheme. Thus, an unnamed user who decided to buy DOCK purchased advertising from BitBoy for $ 30,000. In his video, the blogger said that it was an advertising integration only at the end, so most viewers did not know about it. After the video was published, investors began to actively invest their own funds in the new cryptocurrency, which increased the value of DOCK. In August, Armstrong admitted his mistake.
Despite the support of the scandalous crypto blogger, Do Kwon does not particularly hide his current activities. However, he does not disclose his whereabouts after Interpol issued a «red notice «for his arrest. As a reminder, the founder and CEO of Terraform Labs is accused by the South Korean authorities of violating the country’s financial markets laws, and the authorities are considering revoking Kwon’s passport and bringing him to justice.
