The total number of cryptocurrency ATMs in the world is approaching 40,000

Nine years after the launch of the first bitcoin ATM, the total number of crypto machines in the world is almost 38,804, and it is expected to reach 40,000 in the near future. Currently, 88% of the existing crypto ATMs are located in the United States, and in October alone, 129 out of 205 new cryptocurrency ATMs were installed in America.

According to Research and Markets, the crypto-ATM space is currently estimated at $ 46.4 million. Experts believe that this figure will grow 10 times by 2027, given the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies and the increasing number of crypto machines worldwide. According to Coin ATM Radar, Canada has 6.6% (2633) of the total number of cryptocurrency ATMs, which made it the second largest country in the world by the number of crypto machines. Spain took the third place with 0.6% and a total of 259 cryptomats. There are currently 43 cryptocurrency ATMs in Ukraine.

Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency for transactions (100% of crypto-ATMs support transactions with CTS). About 81% of cryptomats allow transactions with Litecoin, 74% with Ethereum, and 40% with Dogecoin.
