Dogecoin founder dreams of the end of the cryptocurrency era
In an interview with Crikey magazine, Dogecoin (DOGE) co-founder Jackson Palmer expressed his thoughts on the crypto industry.
In a conversation with the journalist, Palmer said that he expects the popularity of cryptocurrencies to end: «People are not doing anything, they are making money without putting any effort into it.» The Dogecoin co-founder emphasized that he considers cryptocurrency to be a technology of capitalism created to enrich its supporters. This is achieved through tax evasion, reduced regulatory oversight, and the creation of artificial scarcity.
Palmer’s comments were part of an interview to promote his new podcast, Griftonomics. The first episode of the podcast was supposed to be released last year, but in order to avoid massive condemnation, Palmer started posting his thoughts on cryptocurrencies on Twitter. By the way, it was thanks to Palmer and Elon Musk’s Twitter arguments that DOGE’s popularity grew by 200%.
