Cardano cryptocurrency founder explains why he started searching for extraterrestrial civilizations
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of the cryptocurrency Cardano, has responded to Twitter users' criticism of his UFO search. According to the developer, he is a multi-faceted personality, and his unusual hobby does not hinder him in the development of Cardano.
«Twitter's stupidity never ceases to amaze me,» Hoskinson wrote in response to @CryptoJunky's tweet. The user noted that while Polkadot developers are «generating new ideas and developing their own cryptocurrency, Charles Hoskinson is looking for aliens.» He then added: «That's why I’d rather invest in DOT than ADA.»

The Cardano developer is with his team on an expedition to find a UFO or some kind of space entity that crashed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean. In a tweet on June 16, Hoskinson confirmed that his team had found strange pieces of wire and fragments that could be debris from the crash site.
The search is part of the Galileo project, for which Hoskinson allocated $ 1.5 million in March 2023. Also, in 2022, the Cardano founder participated in a $ 75 million funding round for Colossal, a Texas-based biological startup that aims to resurrect woolly mammoths and other extinct species.
