Cardano founder believes that even biologists are interested in virtual NFT tokens

Charles Hawkinson, founder of the Cardano blockchain platform and co-founder of the Ethereum cryptocurrency, shared his opinion on the popularity of NFTs.

On his Twitter page, Hawkinson posted an article about the success of new technologies in protecting the authenticity of cell lines, writing: «NFT tokens are becoming so popular that even biologists are using them.»

Researchers at the University of Texas have developed the first way to create a unique identifier for each copy of a cell line. Synthetic biology and genome editing have contributed to the creation of special cell lines for medical research.
