Dogecoin founder says he no longer likes Elon Musk
Billy Marcus, the co-founder of Dogecoin (DOGE), posted a tweet in which he said that he no longer likes Elon Musk — all because of the negative information about the billionaire in the media.
According to Billy Marcus’s tweet, the developer used to be impressed with the Tesla CEO, but after some media publications that covered Elon Musk from a negative angle, he was forced to «dislike» the billionaire. This post was a response to a tweet by Whole Mars Catalog, which asked people who bought Tesla because of their love for Elon Musk (it does not specify whether the company’s shares or electric cars) to tell us about it.
According to Elon Musk, the media deliberately generate negative content about famous people like him in order to get more clicks and shares. The billionaire emphasized that the «media's hatred» for him will cease to be popular as soon as users stop reading «yellow articles».
As a reminder, the information attack on Elon Musk began after a well-known DOGE supporter accused Twitter representatives of providing false information about fake or spam accounts on the platform and terminated the deal to buy the social network for $ 44 billion. Immediately after the announcement, the value of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency dropped by almost 10%. The purchase of Twitter by the DOGE king was supposed to be a «new stage» in the development of Dogecoin — many analysts predicted that the deal would accelerate the introduction of this cryptocurrency as the official means of payment for the social network, which has about 330 million monthly active users.
