The founder of NFT project Goobers lost all user funds in a casino

5:13 pm, January 4, 2023

The Twitch streamer and founder of the NFT project Goobers under the nickname DNP3 admitted that he lost all his investors' funds in a casino. Due to DNP3's gambling addiction, Goobers NFT and CluCoin projects had to be closed.

«I'm sorry to disappoint you, sor ry,» DNP3 wrote on his Twitter page, which has more than 600,000 followers. However, DNP3's sincere confession will not help to return millions of lost dollars to their owners. «Over the past year, I have become incredibly addicted to gambling. I invest every penny in bets, hoping to get a big win one day. So far, I have lost everything due to my addiction,» DNP3 said, hoping for the support of users.

In order to recoup the lost funds, DNP3 used investors' money every time, but nothing happened. The founder of Goobers said he felt devastated not only financially but also spiritually. Obviously, investors expect to get their money back and hold DNP3 accountable. According to DNP3, he has already turned to specialists to recover from his addiction.

As a reminder, the Goobers NFT project was launched in the fall of 2021, and the total number of transactions with Goobers is 968 ETH — $ 1.1 million at the time of writing. The minimum value of the Goobers NFT peaked at 55.25 ETH in February last year, but as of January 3, the price of the non-fungible Goobers token has dropped to 0.02 ETH per unit.

It is worth noting that the founder of one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Сем Бенкман-Фрід" href="https://noworries.media/biography/sem-benkman-frid/" data-bio-id="3697">Sam Bankman-Fried, also used investor funds for his own purposes. It is believed that Alameda Research (a trading firm, FTX’s sister company, and a hedge fund) used the money of FTX users to make its own deals. on December 27, 2022, FTX partners, former Alameda Research chairman Caroline Ellison and FTX co-founder Gary Wang pleaded guilty to 11 charges, including manipulation of investor funds. Interestingly, the «protagonist» of the FTX collapse refused to plead guilty, and the court postponed the hearing in his case until October 2023, until then Sam Bankman-Fried will remain under house arrest.
