ZELF launches a Visa card with cryptocurrency support, its developers promise anonymity to customers

The American online bank ZELF, which allows users to make transfers via Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, Viber, Telegram, and Discord, has announced the launch of its own Visa card with support for cryptocurrencies. According to ZELF developers, customers will be able to remain anonymous when using the new card.

At the time of writing, the card supports transactions with USDC, USDT, and ETH. The company has promised to add 20 more of the most popular cryptocurrencies over the next year. As for anonymity, according to ZELF representatives, users can open a dollar account with only their name, phone number, and email. However, according to experts, the system will read KYC data anyway, so it will not be possible to obtain 100% confidentiality.

ZELF and Visa emphasized the significant time savings for users, as card registration takes only 30 seconds. With the launch of the new product, the online bank hopes to attract more people to the crypto space and, obviously, expand its customer base.

In addition to supporting cryptocurrencies and cooperating with Visa, ZELF also cares about Apple customers and their non-fungible tokens. Thus, at the end of June, ZELF added the ability for millions of Apple Watch users around the world to combine their NFT collections with watch faces.

As for Visa, the payment giant’s CEO recently stated that the company will support cryptocurrencies despite the problems of the blockchain industry. In a new interview with CNBC’s Jim Cramer, Al Kelly said that he hopes the FTX’s fall will accelerate the emergence of government oversight of the cryptocurrency market. Kelly added that Visa, for its part, is laying the groundwork for offering services related to digital assets, as the company expects an increase in demand among business owners and consumers to use plastic cards for cryptocurrency transactions.
