13 well-known artists posted anonymous NFTs for the sake of expertise
The authors of the PYRAMID project want to determine whether people are able to distinguish real digital art from ordinary amateur work. For this purpose, they created a profile on OpenSea, where the works of famous contemporary artists are displayed next to amateurs.
Among the project’s subscribers, you can find the artist Beeple, whose most successful sale of his work amounted to $ 69 million. According to the project’s authors, the artists include people whose works have been exhibited in the Guggenheim and Louvre galleries.
58 token lots were put up for sale yesterday, and the auction will continue for a month.
«Throw away the hype around the works of famous artists, forget about their gender, name and status. We have released a collection of 58 anonymous digital artworks, each with a certificate of ownership and authenticity from NFT,» the project’s manifesto reads.
At the moment, the total trading volume is only 58 ETH, and the cheapest token can be bought for a third of one Ether.
