Changpeng Zhao can create his own meme token

This happened after a discussion on social media, when users asked CZ to share the name and photo of their pet.

At first, Zhao was skeptical, asking, «How does it work? I just say the dog’s name and people create a meme?» But within 30 minutes, he changed his rhetoric, saying that he was «very curious about how it all works» and hinted that he might «think about it for a day.»

The market immediately reacted, and traders began speculating that CZ’s potential memecoin could «go to the moon.» However, Zhao had previously criticized meme tokens, calling them «a bit of a strange trend» and urging developers to focus on useful blockchain solutions.

Despite this, he admitted that meme tokens do have their place in the crypto sector: «It's a cultural phenomenon. I don’t buy meme coins, but that doesn’t mean I’m against them.» Now it remains to be seen whether the CZ dog will become the new symbol of the next popular virtual meme coin.
