Donald Trump plans to create his own cryptocurrency game
US President Donald Trump is probably preparing to launch a new cryptocurrency game that will resemble the board game Monopoly. In the game, users will be offered to earn money and build objects in a virtual city, which creates analogies with the popular mobile game MONOPOLY GO! Fortune magazine reports this with reference to its own sources.
Bill Zanker, a businessman who has already collaborated with Trump to create NFT collections and launch the TRUMP meme coin, is behind the development. Zanker and his son Dylan are associated with NFT LLC, Fight Fight Fight Fight LLC, and CIC Digital LLC — the latter was involved in the creation of the cryptocurrency, which has attracted interest (and criticism) from both investors and lawmakers.
Zanker’s representative, Kevin Mercury, confirmed that Bill is indeed working on the game, which is scheduled to be presented at the end of April 2025. At the same time, he denied that it was a project directly related to the Monopoly brand. Hasbro, which owns the rights to the original game, also said that it had not granted any licenses to organizations associated with Trump.
It is worth noting that previous digital initiatives related to Trump had a mixed reputation. The first NFT collection received a wave of criticism due to the dubious quality of execution, and the TRUMP memecoin raised concerns among politicians due to a potential conflict of interest as it was associated with the election campaign.
The new project — if it is indeed launched — will be another example of the involvement of cryptocurrency in the political and media discourse in the United States, with a potentially large resonance ahead of the upcoming elections.
