The cryptocurrency market lost $ 454 million in a week

Last week, investors withdrew about $ 454 million from cryptocurrency exchange-traded products, according to CoinShares. The reason for this was a change in expectations regarding US monetary policy: after fresh inflation and labor market data, the market reduced the likelihood of a March rate cut by the Federal Reserve, which cooled the appetite for risky assets.

Regional data shows a sharp outflow of funds from the United States — about $ 569 million. Instead, Europe and Canada saw inflows: Germany attracted about 59 million, Canada — 25 million, and Switzerland — 21 million. This indicates a redistribution of capital from U.S. instruments to other jurisdictions where investor interest remained higher.

Analysts note that the crypto fund market remains sensitive to macroeconomic signals. Although the outflow of $ 454 million is significant, it does not change the overall picture with assets of hundreds of billions. Further dynamics will depend on new economic data and communications from the Fed, which can quickly affect the direction of investment flows.
