Spain’s largest cryptocurrency event was disrupted due to Internet problems

The largest cryptocurrency event in Spain has encountered internet problems that have hampered the attempt to set a Guinness World Record. Blockchain education platform Mundo Crypto, the organizer of the event, wants to engage the audience in virtual reality education and plans to transfer its regular courses to the meta-universe. In this way, the audience will be able not only to gain new knowledge but also to earn money while learning.

The event participants were given 7000 headsets, as the organizers wanted to break the previous world record for the number of people using VR glasses at the same time. However, problems with Internet connectivity hampered the company’s plans.

Instead, the founder of Blockchain Mundo Crypto, Mani Tawani, took to the stage in person and spoke to the audience instead of his avatar. «Cryptocurrencies represent freedom. We know that freedom is expressed in the meta-universe. We want the Mundo Crypto meta-universe to be an educational and virtual gateway to an industry that is still unknown to many,» said Tawani.

The conference participants were also able to hear presentations from top executives of leading cryptocurrency companies, including FTX, KuCoin, and Waves. The event was attended by European economists and crypto influencers. The organizers were especially pleased with the delegation from El Salvador, where the country’s president is known to be an ambassador and a big supporter of cryptocurrencies.

As you can see, despite technical problems, the event took place. Nevertheless, after the conference, the Mundo Crypto team decided to refund the ticket price of € 49.35 to the buyers, regardless of whether they attended the event or not.

It should be noted that Mundo Crypto is on the «gray list» of the Of the CNMV (Spanish National Securities Commission) since July 2021. It includes companies not registered with the regulator «that may engage in any type of fundraising activity or provide financial services.»
