6:21 pm, March 21, 2022

Russia’s treacherous attack on Ukraine has united the entire civilized world in its desire to help our country survive these difficult times. In the first weeks of the war, governments of many countries provided Ukraine with a wide range of assistance: weapons, ammunition, medicines and various humanitarian supplies. Unfortunately, such an active supply cannot last forever, and everyone understands this, but Ukraine continues to need all of the above.

That is why dozens of different funds have been created through which people from all over the world make donations to Ukraine. The crypto community has also not stood aside and is contributing to our victory. In this article, we will tell you about eight NFT projects created to raise funds for our country.

Ukraine DAO

10,000 NFT copies of the Ukrainian flag and one unique NFT of the flag were sold on the Ethereum network through the Party Bid service as a result of the cooperation betweenUkraine DAO and Nadia Tolokonnikova (Pussy Riot band member), a digital artist fromTrippy Labs. The initiative raised 2258 ethers (ETH), or more than $ 7.5 million. All the funds raised were sent to the ComeBack Alive organization, which helps Ukrainian soldiers, volunteers and their families.

Holy Water

More than 500 Ukrainian artists have joined forces to raise funds and create a collection of NFT paintings that can be purchased on the Holy Water website. The artists represent some of the most famous galleries in the country: Port Agency, Isolation and Ugallery. Bidding for each artwork starts at 0.08 ETH (~$ 270), and the goal is to raise at least one million dollars.

Waone of Interesni Kazki

Famous Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Manzhos, aka Waone of Interesni Kazki, sells digital copies of his most famous paintings. Volodymyr was inspired by Ukrainian folk tales when creating his works. Among the presented copies are «Seeds of a Good Idea», «Transition from Beta to Alpha», «Imprisoned Mind» and many others. Each digital painting is unique and sold for between $ 250 and $ 290. From 50% to 100% of the funds raised from each NFT sold will go to the defense and medical support of our army.

AITX’s

AITX, acompany that develops assistant robots and various new generation equipment, has also joined the collection of financial aid for Ukraine. They put up an NFT with the image of their security robot Roameo, painted in the national Ukrainian colors , at an online auction . In addition, the company’s CEO Steve Reingartz decided to make a separate contribution and created adonation page on the GoFundMe platform. He calls on all concerned to send money there, which will then be transferred to Ukrainian charities.

NFT from Wladimir Klitschko

Olympic champion and boxing icon Wladimir Klitschko, in collaboration with artist WhlsBe, has released anNFT collection called Vandalz For Ukraine. The collection includes 3 Gummy Bears painted in yellow and blue colors and wearing boxing gloves. The bears differ in appearance and price. They are sold for 0.039, 0.4, and 4 ETH (~132, 1,360, and 13,600 dollars, respectively). At the time of publication, 119 ETH (~$ 404,500) worth of bears have been sold. The funds raised will be distributed among various organizations, including ComeBack Alive.

Reli3F

Crypto artists and well-known influencers in the NFT world have joined the Reli3 °F community to help Ukrainians. They have initiated anauction of digital paintings and photographs, including works by 37 authors, including Danny Cole, Vinny Hager, Sartoshi, Gramlin, Ravi Vora, and others. Prices vary widely, but most of them are quite «democratic». For example, the lowest auction price is 0.005 ETH (~$ 17), and many artists set this price, which gives everyone the opportunity to join this initiative.

Just think — in just 30 seconds after the launch, all the items were sold out, and the auction raised over $ 1 million. But the artists didn’t stop there and continued to fill the auction with new items, and as of today, they have already raised 727 ETH (~$ 2,471,000).

Forza Ikonia

TheNFT project «Stand with Ukraine«by Forza Ikonia and artist Felipe Posada is a painting depicting the Brandenburg Gate painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and the Berlin Wall broken into two parts. 43 287 512 digital copies have been created — each symbolizing one citizen of Ukraine. The paintings are sold for only $ 10 each, and all the money raised will be donated to various charitable organizations in Ukraine, including ComeBack AliveandEveryone Can.

ArtWaRks Ukraine

Ukrainian IT entrepreneurs, art historians, artists, and media creators have teamed up to help civilians and the Ukrainian military and created theArtWaRks UkraineNFT auction . The project contains 63 works that are exhibited on the OpenSea platform and each costs 0.07 ETH (~238 $).

One of the works in this NFT project belongs to the former Minister of Culture and Sports Volodymyr Borodyansky. Other authors include: IT entrepreneur Ruslan Nonka; co-founders of the Museum of Contemporary Art Yulia Hnat and Olga Balashova and many other Ukrainian cultural figures.

In conclusion

After rough calculations, we see that only these 8 projects have raised more than fifteen million dollars in total, but there are not 8, 10 or even 50 such initiatives — there are hundreds of them.
