A cryptocurrency analyst has predicted when Bitcoin will break its previous record

2:49 am, June 9, 2026

The CEO of the DFG investment fund spoke at the Proof of Talk conference in Paris, making a bold prediction about Bitcoin. In his opinion, the first cryptocurrency is capable of outperforming both the U.S. and Chinese stock markets, and its liquidity is already the best in the world from an investment standpoint.

«At its peak, we could see around $ 125,000. I am convinced that a new all-time high will be set in 2027 or 2028,» Vo said during his speech.

The basis for this optimism is the expansion of Bitcoin’s audience far beyond the crypto community. According to the top executive, traditional financial players are increasingly viewing Bitcoin as a safe-haven asset or a separate asset class—something that was not observed before. It is precisely this recognition by big capital, in his view, that is the key driver of future growth.

In contrast, Vo is much more cautious in his assessment of Ethereum’s prospects. The head of DFG expressed doubts that the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization will be able to reach a new all-time high in the near future. He attributes this to the growing popularity of layer-2 solutions, which are drawing user activity and commission revenue away from the Ethereum network. The scale of on-chain activity has not yet met market expectations.

«I don’t think Ether has yet reached the level of recognition that Bitcoin has,» Vo concluded, effectively distinguishing the two leading cryptocurrencies by their degree of institutional acceptance.

Meanwhile, analysts at other major financial institutions also lean toward a positive scenario for Bitcoin. In particular, Jeff Kendrick, head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered Bank, suggested that the Bitcoin market is approaching a price bottom and that the worst will soon be behind us.
