Russian blogger buys stolen NFT token for half a million dollars
an «unfortunate» situation happened to Azam Khodzhayev (2.7 million followers on Instagram).
Recently, the blogger posted a video demonstration on his social media page of the purchase of a monkey from the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collection for 140 ETH. But since the token turned out to be stolen, it was blocked on OpenSea.
The LooksRare platform still offers the opportunity to put the token up for sale, but this option will most likely be closed soon.
The value of the purchased «asset» is currently over $ 400,000.
As a reminder, the BAYC project has recently suffered from hacker attacks — attackers hacked BAYC accounts on Discord and Instagram, posting phishing links. More than 90 tokens were stolen.
