McDonald’s starts accepting cryptocurrencies in Switzerland
McDonald’s, the world’s second most popular fast food chain, has announced the launch of cryptocurrency acceptance in Switzerland, whereby any dish on the menu can be paid for using digital assets.
As it became known, the first city to introduce cryptocurrency payments at McDonald’s was Lugano, Switzerland, with a population of about 63,000. Customers can pay for their orders at the checkout using a crypto terminal. Currently, McDonald’s accepts two cryptocurrencies: bitcoin and Tether (USDT), but the list is planned to be expanded in the near future.
We would also like to remind you that the Swiss financial services provider Dukascopy Bank SA has added the ability to deposit and withdraw USDT stablecoin as well as ETH for holders of multi-currency accounts. USDT has become the first stablecoin that bank customers can deposit and withdraw from their cryptocurrency wallets. To do this, users must link the USDT address to their multi-currency account by confirming their ownership of it. Dukascopy Bank clients have the opportunity to make transactions with ether in the same way.
