Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to launch technology for virtual reality weddings

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is working to ensure that Ukraine starts providing services in the meta-universe: an option is being developed to launch the possibility of getting married or divorced in the meta-universe, said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, at the Kyiv International Economic Forum.

«I will also make a certain spoiler, since we are already talking about the meta-universe. We already have several MVPs in the metaverse (Minimum viable product) area, where we want to start providing services and become one of the first countries in the world to do so.

We are already working on the first service — we have several options — we are testing everything: for example, one of the services we want to launch is the ability to get married or divorced in the meta-universe. We see potential in this," Fedorov was quoted as saying by UP.

The minister did not announce any specific dates for the possible launch of the service.
