Snoop Dog and Eminem have started a collaboration with NFT collection BAYC

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform on the stage of the Otherside metaverse and perform their joint track «From the D 2 the LBC» dedicated to the NFT tokens of the BAYC collection.

As it has become known, MTV Video Music Awards representatives are organizing a music award in the Otherside metaverse, hoping to attract more viewers. Thus, in 2021, the number of fans who watched the MTV awards ceremony live reached 900,000, while in 2011 this figure was $ 12.4 million.

As for hip-hop music icons Snoop Dogg and Eminem, in late June they released a music video for the song «From The D 2 The LBC». The video used Snoop Dogg’s NFT Bored Ape #6723 and Eminem’s Bored Ape #9055. According to the rappers, the idea to create a video with non-fungible tokens was kept secret to surprise users.

Rappers have long been interested in fungible tokens and Web3 technologies. So back in January, Eminem purchased the Bored Ape Yacht Club #9055 NFT for 123 ETH. And Snoop Dogg has applied for registration of new trademarks UNCLE SNOOP and UNCLE SNOOP’S — all for the future meta-universe and collection of non-fungible tokens.
