To realize such a scenario, Ripple has to win a significant part of the cross-border payments market and consolidate XRP’s status as a global reserve currency. This may seem unrealistic, but such a model could be a response to two key threats to the financial system — liquidity shortages and the consequences of uncontrolled issuance. In this context, assets like XRP and RLUSD can offer a sustainable way to maintain global liquidity,» the crypto expert notes.
