Dogecoin founder defends Elon Musk over allegations of creating a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme

9:41 pm, June 20, 2022

After Elon Musk was sued for a hefty $ 258 billion, Binance-zastupyvsya-za-ilona-maska-z-pryvodu-kryptovalyutnoyi-piramidy/">not only Changpeng Zhao, but also Billy Marcus, one of the founders of Dogecoin, decided to stand up for him:

«If Dogecoin is a pyramid scheme, the same can be said for the cryptocurrency market, the stock market, the housing market, the commodity market, and the monetary system itself. Let’s sue Alexander Hamilton (one of the founding fathers of the United States — ed.)

Marcus also hinted that the plaintiff accusing Musk of a planned cryptocurrency bubble should be responsible for his actions: «Cryptocurrency has an incredible amount of nonsense surrounding it, but it’s all just due to how incredibly stupid people are. Cryptocurrency itself is just a protocol and a database.»

Despite the lawsuit, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX tweeted that he would continue to support the DOGE cryptocurrency.
